About the Zombucks Series

Each coin in the Zombucks collection takes a classic American coin and “zombifies” it, turning a U.S. coinage icon into a piece of zombie apocalypse currency. Branded the “currency of the apocalypse,” Zombucks became highly popular among collectors and silver stackers around the world.

The collection began in 2013 with the Zombucks Walker and ended with “The Saint” in 2015. In total, the series features nine rounds, all of which are available in both silver and copper.

Zombucks Designs and Specifications

Each Zombucks silver round is minted with 99.9% fine silver. Rounds in the Zombucks series are also available in copper, which are 99.9% pure and weigh 1 AVDP ounce each.

At this time, Zombucks are only available in copper and silver, and each coin weighs either 1 AVDP ounce or 1 troy oz, depending on its metal content.

As for designs, the art featured on each Zombucks round takes inspiration from an iconic United States coin. The Barber, for example, is modeled after the Barber series of circulating U.S. coins. Each coin’s obverse is “zombified.”

Rounds in the Zombucks series feature a shared reverse design. Each round includes a virus symbol, as well as the phrase “CURRENCY OF THE APOCALYPSE.” Highly collectable and diverse, the Zombucks series has become one of the most sought-after silver round collections.

Are Zombucks Discontinued?

As of 2026, the Zombucks series of copper and silver rounds is officially discontinued. Production of new rounds concluded in 2015 with the release of The Saint, and Elemetal is not expected to release a new edition for the series.

Today, Zombucks silver rounds tend to sell for added premiums over melt value because of their rarity. Mintages for the Zombucks collection varied from round to round. 

The Saint, the last round released in the Zombucks series, had the highest mintage at 49,261 rounds. At the opposite end of the spectrum, the lowest mintage Zombucks round was the Slayed Dollar 1 oz Silver Round, which was produced only 34,410 times.
