The Zombucks Dying Eagle 1 oz Copper Round is a coin from an alternate reality or perhaps, hopefully not, our future. After a zombie apocalypse, you have to wonder what our coins would look like. Wonder no more. Here is what the zombified Flying Eagle coin might look like in .999 fine copper.
- Made of 1 troy ounce of .999 fine copper
- The obverse has a corrupted flying eagle design
- Reverse side has a biohazard sign splattered with zombie gore
If there is one thing we have learned from zombie video games and movies, it’s that the zombie corruption doesn’t stop with changing people into zombies. Animal life is affected as well either from the virus or contagion or eating zombie meat. So, here we have a corrupted version of the U.S. Mint’s ‘flying eagle’ design that circulated on the one cent pieces from 1857-1858. The original coin featured the bald eagle flying to the left of the coin and looking all majestic and proud. On this version, the eagle is mangy looking and losing feathers as it flies and looking like it is heralding anarchy. Above it is ‘2’ a zombuck symbol making it 2 zombucks. Also at the top is ‘DYING EAGLE. Below the picture is ‘2019’.
On the reverse side of the coin is a biohazard symbol splattered with zombie gore. Above the image is ‘ZOMBUCK CURRENCY OF THE APOCALYPSE’. At the bottom is ‘1 OZ .999 FINE COPPER.
