Oklahoma Goldbacks Are Coming – Here’s What to Know!

(Bullion News Network) – Goldbacks are collectible alternative currency notes made with actual gold. Hundreds of businesses across the United States have agreed to accept Goldbacks as payment, making the Goldback one of the most popular modern alternative currencies in the U.S. The series began in 2019 with the Utah collection, which featured six notes with artwork meant to showcase Utah’s history, culture, and environment. The Utah Goldback series was a massive success, which led to new Goldback series in Nevada, New Hampshire, Wyoming, and South Dakota.

Earlier this year, Goldback, Inc. released the Florida Goldback series, which was the sixth state to receive its own Goldback line. Months later, the company announced that two new states will receive Goldback collections: Oklahoma and Arizona. Now, the wait is almost over. Goldback, Inc. has announced that the first of these two series, the Oklahoma collection, will be released in August of 2025 – less than one month from today!

Oklahoma Goldback Release Date and Details

According to Goldback, Inc., preordering for the new Oklahoma Goldback series will begin on August 1st of 2025. On this date, collectors will be able to place preorders for Oklahoma Goldbacks at most Goldback retailers. Later that month, Goldback, Inc. will conduct a ‘soft launch’ of the Oklahoma collection at the American Numismatic Association World’s Fair of Money in, you guessed it, Oklahoma. This soft launch will happen starting on August 19th.

Oklahoma Goldbacks will be officially released on August 25th of this year. At that point, you’ll be able to place orders and receive the new Oklahoma Goldback notes from all online Goldback dealers. The full artwork lineup for the series is not yet public, but Goldback, Inc. did give its community an early sneak peek at the Oklahoma 1 Goldback’s design. 

Like the other releases, we expect the Oklahoma Goldback collection to feature designs that celebrate the cultural identity, environment, and history of Oklahoma. Additionally, each Goldback denomination typically pays homage to a core virtue, such as courage, prudence, or, in the case of the 1 Oklahoma Goldback, perseverance. We’ll update this page with more images of the new Oklahoma Goldback series as they become available. 

Oklahoma Goldbacks – A New Denomination!

Like the Florida series, the upcoming Oklahoma Goldback collection will feature at least one new Goldback denomination, according to Goldback, Inc. This fresh denomination seeks to fill another usability gap in the family of currencies, and Goldback, Inc. 

Although the full series’ denominations have not yet been confirmed, the Oklahoma Goldback collection is likely to feature the following denominations:

• 2
• 3
• 5
• 10
• 25
• 50
• 100

For now, this is the only new denomination confirmed for release with the new Oklahoma Goldback series.
