The face of the bar carries the folktale scene. Two snakes wind around a bamboo stalk that rises through the center of the design, their bodies overlapping in tight coils with individual scales struck across the full length of both animals. Leaves branch out to either side and grasses gather at the base. The character 蛇, meaning snake, sits at the top of the field. The relief is deep enough that the serpents’ heads and the raised scale texture catch light separately from the polished background.
The reverse takes a different approach. The PAMP floral hallmark sits at the top, followed by SUISSE and 1oz GOLD 999.9 in clean capitals. Below that, a textured moon is struck into the center of the field, surrounded by scattered stars across the surrounding area. The individual serial number appears near the base, with the melter and assayer mark beneath it.
