The Front of the Bar
The two koi swim head to tail inside a raised ring, their scales and trailing fins engraved in detail, so together they nearly close a circle. Lotus flowers and lily pads fill the corners, and rows of stylized waves run behind them. In the upper right, the panel shows 福 written twice, once in an ornamental seal script and once in standard form. Koi have long been read as a sign of good luck and perseverance in Chinese tradition.
The Back, the Card and the Sleeve
The back of the bar is stamped in PAMP’s format: the PAMP hallmark, SUISSE, 1 OUNCE, FINE GOLD, 999.9, the ESSAYEUR FONDEUR mark and the bar’s serial number, with lotus flowers along the base. The assay card is printed deep red with blossoms and gold clouds.
