The front breaks from the classical figures used across most of the series. Disciplina, the virtue of discipline, is shown as a snowboarder caught mid-jump, knees bent and one arm thrown back for balance, wearing goggles, a hooded jacket, and gloves with her hair loose behind her. Her name is worked into the deck of the snowboard in stylized script. Below her, a snow-covered mountain slope falls away into a valley of evergreens, with peaks rising in the distance. Utah’s ski terrain is central to the state’s identity, and the scene reflects that directly. The line “Press toward the mark” sits in script above the base panel. The 25 denomination is set inside an ornamental rosette at the upper left, with UTAH, Goldbacks, and Negotiable Instrument across the top. An AURUM serial number runs vertically along the left edge next to the GB seal and the α 2026 series mark. The base panel reads 1/40th Troy Ounce 24K Gold, payable in US gold coin to bearer on demand, with TWENTY FIVE at the bottom.
The back carries the same artwork in reverse impression on an unprinted gold surface. Under ultraviolet light the note shifts to violet with the borders and lettering fluorescing, one of several security features alongside serialization and microprinting.
