The 2021 1oz American Palladium Eagle Coin features two designs that many collectors will recognize by the famed designer Adolph W. Weinman.

The obverse of the coin depicts Weinman’s Winged Liberty design from the Mercury Dime.

The reverse is his American Bald Eagle design from the 1907 American Institute of Architects gold medal. These gorgeous designs rendered in .9995 palladium by the venerable U.S.Mint makes for a coin you simply must have.

Key Features:

  • 1 troy ounce of .9995 fine palladium
  • Backed by the US Government
  • Legal tender $25 denomination
  • Minted by the U.S.Mint in Philadelphia
  • Obverse: Image is Winged Liberty artwork by Adolph W. Weinman same as the Mercury Dime
  • Reverse: Image of the American Bald Eagle artwork by Adolph W. Weinman, very much like the 1907 American Institute of Architects’ gold medal

The obverse side of the coin depicts Winged Liberty, Adolph W. Weinman’s popular design that graced the Mercury Dime from 1916-1945. The image is of the winged messenger god Mercury complete with his winged cap and curly hair. Weinman’s highly detailed artwork is rendered here in high relief making it really crisp. Arching over Mercury’s head is ‘Liberty’ .’In God We Trust’ is written right below his chin. Stylized initials “AW”, the artist’s initials, are written below the back of his neck. Below the image is ‘2021’.

The reverse features Weinman’s design that was made famous by the 1907 American Institute of Architects gold medal. It is a highly detailed image of an American bald eagle with an olive branch clutched in its beak and right talon. The high relief minting really highlights Weinman’s design and you can see every detail of his feathers and piercing eyes. Arched above the picture of the eagle are the words ‘United States of America’. To the left of the eagle’s beak is ‘$25’. On the rock that the eagle is standing on is etched ‘1 oz. Pd .9995 fine’ and ‘E Pluribus Unum’, the Latin motto of the United States meaning “From many one.”

Founded in 1972, the U.S. Mint is a trusted institution responsible for creating the coins that are in circulation for the United States. They also make commemorative coins and national medals. Buying any coin made by the United States Mint means you have the full backing of the United States government.

Be sure to get your 2021 1 oz American Palladium Eagle Coin before they are gone. With this popular design and the high quality .9995 palladium minted by the U.S. Mint, they won’t last long.
