Norse culture is known for its emphasis on strength, bravery, and commitment. Archeologists who have excavated the sites of Ancient Norse cultures have discovered artifacts that testify to the enduring influence of the Norse people on subsequent generations. On a number of these objects, researchers found the Valknut symbol, which consists of three interlocking triangles and appears to be of important religious and cultural significance.

Experts still aren’t quite sure what the Valknut symbol was supposed to represent for the Norse people, but the image appears on many ancient artifacts discovered in places where Ancient Germanic groups settled and lived. The symbol has been frequently associated with Odin, one of the principal Gods of the Nordic people. Later discovery of the Snoldelev Stone represented a new phase in the process of identifying the meaning behind the Valknut. This large stone included a three-horned symbol that closely resembles the Valknut.

Regardless of its specific meaning, the Valknut’s place in Nordic mythology and history is hard to contest. Mints around the world have produced countless coins that pay homage to this symbol, and Hero Bullion is proud to offer our own unique take on the Valknut with our Valknut 5 oz Hand-Poured Silver Round.

This piece is part of a larger series of hand-poured rounds available exclusively from Hero Bullion. Other pieces in the series include the Patriotic Eagle, Athenian Owl, Triskele, and the Egyptian Scarab.

On the reverse, you’ll note the purity and weight of the Valknut. We also included a Hero Bullion logo on the reverse side of the Valknut 5 oz Hand-Poured Silver Round.
