A Serial Number on the Bar and the Card

The bar carries Valcambi’s logo and the assayer’s mark, along with the inscription 1 OZ PLATINUM 999,5 and an individual serial number engraved into the metal itself. The reverse carries the Valcambi Suisse wordmark over a radiating pattern of concentric lines. That same serial number is printed again on the sealed assay card, so a buyer can match bar to card without needing to test the metal. The serial appears twice, once on the bar and once on the card.

Platinum carries the strictest IRA purity requirement of any metal the IRS allows, .9995 fine, compared to .995 for gold and .999 for silver.
