It actually dates back even further than the Ancient Greeks, having been a recurring Ancient motif seen featured on artifacts from both Bronze Age and Neolithic cultures.

For our model of the Triskele symbol, we borrowed heavily from the Triskelion of Sicily, a Greek artifact from the Minoan era. The original Triskelion featured three interlocked legs. Don’t worry – we opted to use a symbolic, minimalist version of this exemplar design. The symbol is centered and rendered in high relief in front of a textured, opaque background. The interlocking symbols surround the outside of the coin, creating a beautiful ring that highlights and mirrors the central Triskele. 

 

We also include a free drawstring pouch with all purchases from our 5 oz Hand-Poured Silver Round series. We feel that the drawstring pouch completes the unique vibe of these coins, which are all slightly different from one another.
