The obverse presents Britannia turned three-quarters toward the viewer, wearing a crested Corinthian helmet with a tall plume sweeping back and a spiral scroll worked across the cheek guard. Her hair falls in long waves past her shoulder. She grips a trident upright in her right hand, its three prongs rising to the top edge, and steadies a shield at her left side bearing a geometric quartered device. Her scaled breastplate is textured piece by piece, and the entire background is filled with a fine rippling wave pattern that suggests the sea. BRITANNIA is stamped in raised capitals at the base.
The reverse carries The Royal Mint wordmark beside the mint’s crowned shield logo, with the specifications stacked below in large clean type: 10 oz, 999, and FINE SILVER. The same wave field runs across the whole surface, ending in a row of stylized cresting waves along the bottom edge.
The bar has rounded corners and a bright mirrored finish that catches the engraving cleanly. Britannia has appeared on British coinage since Roman-era Britain was personified on Hadrian’s coins, and the Royal Mint has issued her image in various forms for centuries. New bars may show light handling marks or surface toning, which is normal for struck silver of this size. IRA eligible at .999 purity.

We love the finish and polish of this bar. Clearly with its elevated resale it is a crowd pleaser….miss the holograms and ser numbers and/or batch #s, that our Germania bars have….but obviously, these have established a trusted niche in the market….and Hero,,,my experiences with you are; a company with class, quality, and respect for the customer, and we have spoken a couple of times….. nice work jay B

Ordered with eCheck. Processed and shipped quickly. However, the Post Office directed it to the wrong city, then back to the correct city, even though the address was correct. So, shipping was delayed 2 days. They delivered it on Sunday, so I appreciate that. Now, onto the bar itself. Really nice looking bar, and I like it was produced by a government mint, lending some credibility to the product, in my opinion. The description of the bar when I bought it said they had individual serial numbers on them, which they didn’t. Contacted Hero and they said it was a mistake on their end and have corrected the description.
