Peace Silver Dollar Coins had a very brief mintage from 1921-1928 and 1934 to 1935. This brief mintage, the amount of circulation these coins got during those years, and the passage of time have meant that these coins are very scarce. This is what makes them very popular among collectors. These coins are even more rare because they are rated at almost uncirculated. Almost uncirculated means that they are often mistaken for uncirculated because of the little wear they have. There may be a trace of friction or the wear is extremely light. These coins are pretty much as they existed so long ago.
Key features:
- Made of .7734 oz of .900 fine silver.
- Dates of coins are between 1922 and 1926 or 1934 and 1935.
- Minted by the United States Mint
- Obverse side has Lady Liberty’s profile facing to the left
- Reverse shows an American bald eagle perched on a mountain
Almost circulated coins are excellent specimens of a coin and are very desirable to collectors. These coins have had extremely light wear or may have a slight trace of friction on them. They are remarkable in that they are in such good condition despite being in circulation and since they are so old. These coins are made from .77344 troy oz of 90% silver. The diameter of each coin is 39.1 mm.
The Peace Silver Dollar design, on the obverse side, was the winning design of a contest for the design of a new dollar. The winner was Anthony di Francisci. Francisci used the real-life Statue of Liberty. In his version, Liberty’s crown has many more points and you could see loose strands of hair blowing in the wind. Underneath her image is ‘IN GOD WE TRUST’. Along the top edges is ‘LIBERTY’ and at the bottom is the coin’s year (1922-1926 or 1934-1935).
On the reverse side of the coin is the iconic, American bald eagle. Her it is perched on a mountain top and has an olive branch clasped in its talons. Behind it are rays of sunshine. Above the eagle is ‘UNITED STATES of AMERICA’ as well as ‘ E PLURIBUS UNUM’, which means, “ from many, one”.
Be sure to get your Peace Silver Dollar in almost uncirculated condition before they are all gone. Due to the scarcity of these, it is hard to know when or if we may get them back in stock.

First order from Hero Bullion. The Peace Dollar looks great. A 1922 in AU condition. I got some 38mm capsules too. I’ll be adding more Peace Dollars to my stack soon.
Loved finding a Texas company to buy from to keep my business in the Republic.
