The Middle Rosa
This is 20 grams of .9999 gold, about two-thirds of a troy ounce, carrying PAMP’s Rosa design on the front. It is the mid-size Rosa: enough gold to feel like something, at a price where a design bar is still a casual buy rather than a major one. It ships new and sealed in PAMP’s assay card.
PAMP and the Rose
PAMP Suisse, based at Castel San Pietro in Switzerland, was the refiner that started decorative bullion bar artwork, and the Rosa is one of its best-known designs. The front shows a single rose stem, one bloom fully open with a bud beside it and serrated leaves down the stalk, set in a raised border on a mirror field. The other face carries the PAMP monogram, SUISSE 20 g FINE GOLD 999.9, the Essayeur Fondeur assay stamp, and the serial. The sealed card even prints a small ruler along its edge.
What You Are Paying For
The Rosa design puts the price more than a plain bar of the same weight would cost. The gold is the same 20 grams of .9999. If the goal is the lowest cost per gram, a plain cast bar beats it.
Bar premiums also work on a ladder: the cost added per gram falls as the bar grows. A 20 gram bar costs more per gram than a 50 gram and less than a 5 gram or a 1 gram. This size sits in the middle, which is most of its appeal.
Keep it sealed if resale matters. The certificate, the sealed blister and an intact CertiPAMP card, with the serial matched between the bar and the card, are how a buyer checks it fast. Opening it slows that down and usually softens the offer.
Why It Still Holds Gold
Under the card it is 20 grams of .9999 fine gold from an LBMA accredited refiner, with the serial struck into the bar as well as printed on the certificate. It is IRA eligible, and at 31 by 18 mm it tucks into a wallet or a small pocket of a safe.

How much gold is in the 20 gram Rosa bar?
Twenty grams, which is 0.643 troy ounces, at 99.99 percent purity. That is close to two-thirds of a full troy ounce.
How does it compare to the 5 gram and 50 gram Rosa?
Same design, same refiner, same sealed assay card. The difference is premium per gram, which drops as the bar gets larger, so the 20 gram costs less per gram than the 5 gram and more than the 50 gram.
Is the serial number on the bar itself?
Yes, and on the certificate. PAMP stamps it into the bar and prints the same number on the sealed card, so the two can be matched.
Should I take the bar out of the sealed card?
Only if you plan to keep it. For resale, a sealed CertiPAMP with the matching serial is worth leaving shut, since it lets a buyer authenticate the bar without opening anything.
