A Rose in a Single Gram of Gold

The PAMP Rosa 1 gram Gold Bar is one gram of 999.9 fine gold, struck by PAMP in Switzerland with its Rosa design and sealed in a blue PAMP assay card. It is a single gram of Swiss gold with a flower on its face, which makes it an easy piece to give.

PAMP’s Rose

PAMP calls the Rosa one of its classic designs. In its own words, a rose in full bloom crowns the stem, with two buds sprouting among the leaves, about to open. On the 1 gram bar the open bloom sits at the top, the buds branch from the stem below it, and veined leaves run down to the base, all on a plain polished field. The back carries PAMP’s hallmark side: the PAMP logo, SUISSE, 1 g, FINE GOLD 999.9 and the bar’s serial number.

The Card It Comes In

The bar sits in a window in a blue card printed with The Art of Precious Metal Transformation across the top, SWISS MADE down the side and PAMP at the bottom. The back of the card is the assay certificate, set over a faint world map, and it lists the certificate number, the metal fineness of Au 999.9, the weight of 1 g and the signature of PAMP’s certified assayer. The certificate number is the same as the serial struck on the bar.

A Gram Is the Small End of Gold

A 1 gram bar carries a far higher premium per ounce than a 1 oz bar. PAMP strikes, numbers, seals and certifies a gram bar much as it does a larger one, and that work is spread across about three hundredths of an ounce of gold. Buy it for the gift, or as a first piece of gold, and choose a larger bar when the aim is the most gold for the money.

What does the Rosa design show?

Does the serial on the bar match the card?

Yes. The serial number struck on the back of the bar is printed on the card as the certificate number, alongside the fineness, weight and the assayer’s signature.

How much gold is in a 1 gram bar?

0.03215 troy ounces. A troy ounce is 31.1035 grams, so a little over 31 of these bars add up to an ounce.

Is the PAMP Rosa 1 gram bar IRA eligible?

Our Specifications tab lists it as IRA eligible, and at 999.9 fine it is well above the purity floor for gold. It must be held by your IRA’s custodian, so confirm with yours before you buy.

Should I take the bar out of the card?

Leave it sealed. The card protects the polished surface and keeps the bar with its numbered certificate, which is what a dealer will want to see when you sell.
