The reverse carries the Gallic rooster, the national emblem of France, standing in profile with head raised and comb erect, its tail feathers arcing high behind it in layered rows. The bird stands on a patch of grass with small flowers at its feet. LIBERTÉ · ÉGALITÉ · FRATERNITÉ wraps the left and upper rim, 20 sits at the left with Fcs at the right, and the date anchors the base between two small ornaments.
