Engelhard left the retail silver business decades ago, and nothing has replaced it. The refiner’s bars still trade at a premium over generic silver because the name carries weight in every dealer case in the country, and the supply can only shrink. This listing offers 10 troy ounces of .999+ fine silver in an Engelhard bar, with the specific style, logo variation, and serial format determined by what is in inventory when your order is filled.
Key Features:
- Purity and Weight: 10 troy ounces of 999+ fine silver
- Metal: Silver, refined and struck by Engelhard
- Obverse: Engelhard hallmark with weight, purity, and serial number stamps
- Reverse: Varies by style, commonly a repeating Engelhard logo pattern
- Style: Selected from available inventory, not chosen by the buyer
Engelhard produced ten-ounce bars across several decades in a range of formats, and this listing covers all of them. A common example carries the globe-and-E logo stamped near the top, followed by 10 TROY OUNCES, FINE SILVER, and 999+ in stacked lines, with ENGELHARD in a raised outlined cartouche and the individual serial number in a boxed panel below it. The reverse on that style is tiled edge to edge with the ENGELHARD name in repeating outlined bars set on the diagonal, the background stippled with fine texture so the pattern shifts as the bar is angled.
Other styles turn up as well, including different logo treatments, alternate lettering layouts, and both struck and poured bars with varying surface character. The exact style cannot be requested, and multiple bars in one order may arrive as a mixed assortment.
Bars are secondary market pieces, so expect toning, spotting, scratches, or edge marks consistent with age and handling. None of that affects silver weight or purity. Serial numbers vary and are not guaranteed to be sequential.
A retired American refiner, a fixed and shrinking supply, and ten ounces of silver in the size collectors actually chase. Order your Engelhard 10 oz silver bar today.

I can’t believe I was able to get an Engelhard bar for this price! I looked everywhere and they are getting harder and harder to find. I am so glad I found out about HERO, quick shipping too.

Relatively new to stacking and every but often I’d here bout “Engelhard” brand silver bars, and there always seemed to be extra
excitement surrounding any bullion with the Engelhard name attached, however I had no idea what was such a big deal with this brand, so naturally I did a lil’ reading…and wow, such fascinating American history behind the Engelhard name, and Engelhard (Jr. I think)was the real-life inspiration for the fictional 007 Goldfinger character….So cool…Soooo…now I get it, and of course with Hero having some of this vintage silver at a very reasonable prices, naturally i had to snag a few rounds and one nice n’ husky 10oz Engelhard Ag Bar…as a rule of thumb i only stack government issued bullion (mostly American & Canadian) but after learning about the American legend whose name once was synonymous with world renowned, exceptional quality bullion products..im very happy to make an exception to my rule and to own a few pieces of really cool history without breaking the bank..
