The Aztec Calendar 10 oz silver bar turns one of archaeology’s most famous artifacts into stackable bullion, striking 10 troy ounces of .999 fine silver with artwork on both faces. Between the Sun Stone reproduction and the portrait of the last Aztec emperor, the bar delivers far more design than typical ten-ounce ingots while trading at comparable premiums.

Key Features:

  • Purity and Weight: 10 troy ounces of .999 fine silver
  • Metal: Investment-grade pure silver in a minted rectangular format
  • Obverse Design: Emperor Cuauhtémoc in a feathered headdress with the weight and purity
  • Reverse Design: The Aztec Sun Stone calendar rendered across the full face

The obverse honors Cuauhtémoc, the final ruler of Tenochtitlan, shown in left-facing profile wearing an elaborate feathered headdress, banded ear ornament, and patterned garments, his name inscribed beneath the portrait. TEN TROY OUNCES spans the top of the bar and .999 FINE SILVER the bottom, while a stepped Aztec fret pattern borders the entire face in place of a plain rim.

The reverse reproduces the Sun Stone, the twelve-ton basalt calendar disc unearthed beneath Mexico City’s main plaza in 1790. The face of the sun god stares from the center ring, surrounded by concentric bands of day-sign glyphs, ornamental feathers, and the paired fire serpents whose bodies trace the disc’s outer edge, all compressed into fine engraved linework that covers the bar edge to edge. Architectural glyph panels fill the corners, completing the artifact-inspired composition.

The original stone weighed over 24 tons and encoded the Aztec cosmos in carved rings; this bar condenses that iconography into a format that stores flat and sells fast. Bars ship new with bright surfaces, and the .999 fineness makes them eligible for precious metals IRAs.

Museum-grade imagery, double-sided artwork, and ten full ounces of silver make the Aztec Calendar bar a stack piece that invites a second look. Order yours new today.
