Cast bars are the quiet value in gold. Skipping the pressing, polishing, and assay card that minted bars require means lower fabrication cost, and that saving shows up in the premium you pay. Argor-Heraeus has refined metal in Switzerland since 1951 and holds LBMA Good Delivery accreditation, so the hallmark on this bar is accepted worldwide. Each one holds 10 troy ounces of .9999 fine gold.

Key Features:

  • Purity and Weight: 10 troy ounces (311.03 grams) of .9999 fine gold
  • Metal Type: 24-karat gold refined by Argor-Heraeus, Switzerland
  • Face Stamps: Refiner roundel, country, weight, purity, and serial number
  • Format: Poured cast bar with an untouched natural surface

The face carries the Argor-Heraeus roundel: a circular hallmark enclosing the interlocked AH monogram, with ARGOR-S.A. arcing over the top and HERAEUS curving below. Beneath it the bar reads Switzerland, then 10 ounces, Fine Gold, and 999,9 in the European decimal format. A small rectangular melter and assayer stamp sits lower on the face, with the individual serial number struck at the base.

The cast format is what gives the bar its character. Molten gold is poured into an open mold and left to set, so the top surface carries shallow ripples, faint pitting, and an uneven sheen rather than a machined finish. Corners are rounded, the sides bow outward slightly, and the thickness varies a little across the length. Handling the bar, you feel the weight concentrated in a compact block rather than spread across a thin wafer. No two cast bars are identical, and the one you receive will differ in surface texture from any photograph.

Bars are new and arrive in protective plastic. Cast bars ship without an assay card, which is normal for the format and part of why the premium runs below minted equivalents. Serial numbers cannot be requested.

Ten ounces in a single piece is a serious position, and the Argor-Heraeus name moves easily through any dealer network. If you are buying gold for weight rather than presentation, this is where the math works in your favor. Order yours today and we will ship it insured in discreet packaging.
