The $5 Banknote 1oz Copper Round is inspired by the $5 Silver Certificate of 1899. This bill featured a beautiful depiction of a native american chief in full headdress. This coin uses 1 oz of .999 fine copper to celebrate this design. These bills are very popular and highly sought after.

Key features:

  • Made of 1 oz AVDP .999 fine copper
  • Inspired by the 1899 $5 Silver Certificate
  • The obverse side has a Native American chief in a headdress
  • The back has a large roman numeral five and various details from the back of the original banknote

The $5 1899 Silver Certificate, also known as a “Chief” has an image of Chief Running Antelope, chief of the Hunkpapa tribe of the Lokata Indians. Here he is shown in full headdress. This coin has a rendition of this image on the obverse of the coin. To the left of the chief is a Roman numeral five with the word ‘Five’ going through it. To the left and the right are the numbers ‘5’. Above the chief is ‘UNITED STATES OF AMERICA’. Below the image is ‘SILVER CERTIFICATE’.

On the reverse side of the coin is a Roman numeral five with the same text on the back of the original banknote which is a statement saying that the banknote is legal tender.Under this Roman numeral ‘V’ is ‘THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA’. Below this is the name of the mint that created the coin-’ArtBarMint’. At the top of this side ‘1 OZ .999 FINE COPPER’.

The $5 Banknote 1 oz Copper Round is an homage to the very popular $5 Silver Certificate. This is a great way to commemorate the 1899 banknote and get some .999 fine copper. Be sure to get your hands on one of these coins before they are gone.

I have ordered bullion from many exchanges, and I look through many of them daily to watch pricing and new arrivals. I stumbled on to Hero Bullion recently and picked up a handful of these rounds. Shipping was lightning fast, the price is the lowest I have ever paid and I was surprised when they arrived in a tube. These rounds are beautiful and I am about to order another pile, but I think the real winner here is Hero Bullion. This is now my first stop on my daily exchange rounds!
