In October, Goldback, Inc. announced the newest addition to the Goldback family of alternative, local currencies. Each new series of Goldbacks focuses on one U.S. state, and Florida is the sixth state to be commemorate on the genuine gold notes. A single Goldback is coated with a polymer composed of 1/1000th troy oz of 99.9% fine gold bullion, meaning that a 25 denomination Goldback includes 25 times as much gold, or 1/40th of a troy ounce.
Goldback notes are known for their intricate artwork, which always features the feminine personification of a core virtue, a positive characteristic associated with the states they represent. The 25 Florida Goldback Aurum Gold Note depicts conservare, the virtue of conservation or preservation. On this note, the feminine personification takes the form of a beautiful explorer riding a boat through a classic Floridian swamp scene. Around her, flora and fauna paint a vivid picture of the swamplands that Florida has come to be known for.
This is a fantastic artistic touch on the part of Goldback, Inc.’s designers. Florida’s wetlands have decreased in area by around 44%, according to the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission. Here, Goldback, Inc. celebrates the Floridians who work to preserve their beautiful lands – and they do so in a beautiful note wrapped in actual gold bullion.
Key Features:

Since 2019, Goldbacks have been one of the most unique projects on the gold market. Its founders imagined a currency that was actually backed by – and pegged to – the value of actual gold bullion. The result is the Goldback, a family of currencies that began five years ago in Utah.
The Florida Goldback was announced over one year after the release of the South Dakota Goldback series. Florida is the highest population state to receive its own series of Goldbacks, and believe us when we say that people are very excited for the new series.
The Florida Goldback series introduced three new denominations to the Goldback collection: 1/2, 2, and 100. On the company’s website, Goldback, Inc. cited the rising price of gold and decreasing value of traditional currencies as its reasons for introducing the new denominations to the series.
Celebrate the beautiful culture of Florida and this historic moment in the Goldback movement with the 25 Florida Goldback Gold Note. The note features stunning artwork depicting the feminine personification of conservation, as well as a polymer coating made from 1/40th troy oz of 99.9% fine gold bullion.
