William Wallace in Two Ounces of Antiqued Silver, Graded NGC MS70

Stirling Bridge, 1297
Wallace was a knight of the lesser nobility who became one of the main leaders of Scotland’s first war of independence against England. In September 1297, with Andrew Moray, he defeated an English army at the Battle of Stirling Bridge and was named Guardian of Scotland. Defeat at Falkirk followed in 1298, and in 1305 he was captured and executed on the orders of Edward I. His name outlived him, carried by poems, novels and film.
Defiance in High Relief
The design pictures the defiance of the Scots, with Wallace in high relief and gold gilding picking out the key details against the antiqued silver. The other side carries the Public Seal of Niue ringed by historical weapons, with LEGENDARY WARRIORS, FIVE DOLLARS and 2 oz 999 in the legends.
Thirteen of Fifteen
Legendary Warriors is a 15-coin series of two ounce silver coins from T&S Coins, each portraying a famous warrior in antiqued high relief with gilded highlights. Wallace is the thirteenth, limited to 500 pieces, and carries a $5 face value from Niue.
The Top NGC Grade
At MS70, NGC found no post-production imperfections under 5x magnification. It is the highest grade on NGC’s scale.
This is a collectible. Its value comes from its grade, rarity, and design rather than its metal weight alone.
