The 2026 1 oz Australian Silver Lunar Horse celebrates the Year of the Horse with a full troy ounce of 9999 fine silver from the Perth Mint’s acclaimed Lunar Series III. Lunar coins carry a built-in collector following because each design is struck for its zodiac year only, and buyers born under the Horse, including 2026, 2014, 2002, 1990, 1978, and 1966, give the date extra gifting appeal on top of its bullion value.

Key Features:

  • Purity and Weight: 1 troy ounce of 9999 fine silver
  • Metal Type: Investment-grade silver bullion with a $1 AUD face value, IRA eligible
  • Obverse: King Charles III effigy by Dan Thorne, with weight, purity, and denomination
  • Reverse: Two horses in motion across an open plain, with the Chinese character for horse

The obverse carries Dan Thorne’s left-facing portrait of King Charles III. CHARLES III and AUSTRALIA arc around the upper rim, while the inscriptions 1oz 9999 Ag and 1 DOLLAR curve along the bottom, stating the coin’s weight, purity, and face value directly on its face.

The reverse captures a pair of horses mid-stride. A muscular adult horse rears at the left, mane and tail tossed by the motion, while a younger horse trots alongside at the right, both rendered with detailed musculature against a backdrop of rolling hills and scattered stones. Tufts of grass rise from the foreground, and the field behind the animals is struck to a clean brilliance. Above the scene sit the Chinese character for horse, the word HORSE, and the date 2026, with Perth’s P mintmark in the left field. In the Chinese zodiac the horse stands for energy, independence, and forward drive.

Each coin arrives in Brilliant Uncirculated condition inside a fitted protective capsule. At 9999 fineness it exceeds IRS purity requirements and is fully eligible for precious metals IRAs. Lunar Series III issues are struck in limited annual production, so popular zodiac years often climb in premium once mint supplies close.

One year, one design, one ounce of sovereign silver. Order the 2026 Silver Lunar Horse today, whether for the stack, the collection, or someone born to the sign.
