2025 Wonder Woman 2.5 oz Silver Medal, NGC MS70 First Day of Issue
The large-format Wonder Woman from the U.S. Mint, 2.5 troy ounces of 99.9% fine silver across 50.80 mm, certified by NGC as MS70 First Day of Issue. The Mint limited this size to 25,000 medals and let each household buy only one during the first 24 hours of sales.
A Champion for Peace, at Full Size
The 2.5 ounce medal gives Wonder Woman’s two designs the most room of any piece in her release. Chief Engraver Joseph Menna’s obverse shows her mid-leap with shield and Lasso of Truth, American flag stripes behind her recalling her World War II costume. The reverse places her before the Earth with three doves in flight for peace, equality and justice, inscribed WONDER WOMAN and PEACE AND EQUALITY.
Limited to 25,000
Wonder Woman’s release came in three pieces: a half ounce gold $50 coin capped at 10,000, this medal capped at 25,000 pieces, and a one ounce medal with no limit. When pre-orders opened at noon Eastern on November 13, 2025, the Mint held the gold coin and the 2.5 ounce medal to one per household for the first day.
Bought Within a Day of Release
First Day of Issue from NGC requires purchase within one day of the first day a mint offers the piece for sale, proven with purchase receipts and granted only on special request. NGC’s 70, its top grade, means no post-production imperfections under 5x magnification.
Closing the Program’s First Year
Wonder Woman was the third 2025 hero in the Mint’s Comic Art Coin and Medal Program with Warner Bros. Discovery, after Superman and Batman. The silver piece is a medal with no denomination, struck with a matte finish and a plain edge.
This is a collectible. Its value comes from its grade, rarity, and design rather than its metal weight alone.

That the medal was bought within one day of the Mint’s first day of sale, November 13, 2025, backed by purchase receipts given to NGC.
