2025 Wonder Woman 2.5 oz Silver Medal, NGC MS70 Early Releases

The Mint opened pre-orders on November 13, 2025, planning to ship in winter. NGC’s Early Releases covers pieces received within 30 days of an issue’s release by NGC or an approved depository, and for this medal NGC set the cutoff at April 16, 2026, alongside a note on the Mint’s delayed shipping. The designation records when the medal reached NGC. It does not change the medal or the grade.
The Amazon Warrior in Silver
Joseph Menna, the Mint’s Chief Engraver and a former DC artist, designed the obverse. Wonder Woman, Diana of Themyscira, springs into action with her shield and the Lasso of Truth against the stripes of the American flag, a nod to her World War II era costume. The reverse shows her with the Earth behind her and three doves in flight, symbols of peace, equality and justice, with WONDER WOMAN and PEACE AND EQUALITY.
The Size the Mint Capped
The Mint struck Wonder Woman in silver at two sizes. The one ounce had no limit. This 2.5 ounce medal, 50.80 mm across, was capped at 25,000, and the Mint allowed one per household during the first 24 hours of sales.
A Matte Medal at MS70
The silver Wonder Woman is a medal with no denomination, struck in 99.9% fine silver with a matte finish and a plain edge. The half ounce gold $50 is the coin in her release. NGC’s 70 is its top grade, meaning no post-production imperfections at 5x magnification.
