The obverse carries the left-facing portrait of King Charles III, with fine strands cut through the hair and crisp lines across the collar, lapel, and tie. CHARLES III and AUSTRALIA arc across the top of the coin, separated by the bust, while 1 DOLLAR runs along the lower rim between two raised dots. A beaded border rings the edge.
The reverse shows a koala gripping a eucalyptus branch, body curled around the limb with one forepaw reaching up and its claws clearly defined on the branch below. The fur is textured across the back and haunch in short directional strokes, and the animal’s large rounded ears are worked with individual tufts standing out from the head. Eucalyptus leaves sprout along the branch beneath it. KOALA is stamped in tall block letters across the top right, the year, weight, and purity read 2025 1oz 9999 SILVER down the left side, and the P mintmark sits at the right edge.
