The Perth Mint’s 2024 Australian Emu Next Generation coin carries 10 troy ounces of .9999 fine silver in a single hefty piece, pairing serious bullion weight with a family scene of one of Australia’s most recognizable birds. Issued as legal tender with a $10 face value, it arrives in Brilliant Uncirculated condition sealed in a protective capsule, ready for the vault or the display shelf.

Key Features:

  • Purity and Weight: 10 troy ounces of .9999 fine silver
  • Metal: Four-nines pure silver with a $10 Australian face value
  • Obverse Design: The effigy of King Charles III against a radiating sunburst field
  • Reverse Design: A mother emu striding with four chicks through the outback, with the P125 mintmark

The obverse shows King Charles III in left-facing profile, set on a field of fine rays that fan out from the portrait to the rim. Arcing around the design are CHARLES III and AUSTRALIA, with the specifications 10oz 9999 Ag and the 10 DOLLARS denomination completing the inscriptions along the lower edge.

The reverse gives the coin its charm. A tall mother emu strides across the field, her shaggy plumage engraved in loose, layered strands that capture the bird’s distinctive drooping feathers. Four striped chicks scurry around her long legs, two trailing behind and one leading the way, while native grasses frame the scene and rolling hills rise behind it under a sunrise of radiating lines. The P125 mintmark, marking the Perth Mint’s 125th anniversary, sits in the left field, with the 2024 date at the bottom. The mother-and-young theme is the signature of the mint’s Next Generation series, which celebrates Australian wildlife raising their offspring.

At ten ounces, the coin delivers a lower premium per ounce than smaller sovereign coins while keeping government-backed weight and purity. The included capsule protects the Brilliant Uncirculated surfaces from handling.

Big silver content, four-nines purity, and a one-year design make this emu an easy addition for stackers and Perth Mint collectors alike. Order the 2024 10 oz Australian Emu today while inventory lasts.
