The Trooper is a song by the British heavy metal band, Iron Maiden. In this song the protagonist is presumably a British soldier fighting in a battle against Russians. The song describes in detail the battle as it unfolds. This song was from their wildly successful 1983 album, Piece of Mind. This album went on to sell an estimated 13.5 million copies. The Trooper was released as a single and the cover featured Eddie, an icon for the band, wearing a British uniform. He is holding a tattered Union flag in one hand and a sword with blood dripping from it in the other. Around him are the bodies of fallen soldiers. He is facing the viewer with a fierce look on his face.

On the obverse is a small version of Ian Rank-Broadley’s classic depiction of Elizabeth II. Here she is facing to the right with a look of determination on her face. She is wearing a crown and the Royal Jewelry. To the left of her is Elizabeth II. Above her head is ‘5 DOLLARS’. To the right of her is ‘COOK ISLANDS’. At the bottom is ‘2023’.

The reverse has the image of Eddie, the mascot that appears on all of Iron Maiden’s album covers. Here he is dressed as a British soldier waving a Union flag coming right at the viewer. His image is in full high resolution color with the background being simple shiny silver which makes him almost pop out of the coin.

If you are an Iron Maiden fan or know an Iron Maiden fan, this is the perfect gift for them. With only 1983 available you better act fast before they are all gone. Get yours today.
