The obverse side of the coin has two soldiers in full armor locked in combat. These are combatants fighting in the Great Siege of Malta. The design is so detailed you can sing the individual rings of the chain mail and where the individual plates of the other soldier’s armor meet near his shoulder. In the background are waves and ships. Above their heads is ‘Knights of the Past’. To the right is ‘10 Euro’. 

The reverse side of the coin has the Coat of Arms of the Central Bank of Malta held by a Maltese Knight. The knight’s plate mail armor is so clear and sharp you can clearly see the studs. The Central Bank of Malta’’s Coat of Arms is so detailed you can clearly read the motto, “Fiducia Portis”, which translates to “trust carried” in English. At the top edge of the coin is “Malta” and written on the bottom left edge is “2 oz. 999.9 Ag”. The coin year of issue “2022” is engraved at the bottom edge.
