On obverse of the coin is a kind of a three level design. In the background is a silver coin with a kind of textured design and the middle is a red round dot that takes up most of the coin which kind of brings to mind the Japanese flag. Above the red dot is written ‘IRON MAIDEN’ and hovers above the outer silver ring that is the border of the coin. In front of everything and poking out of the coin is Eddie, a figure who has become a kind of avatar of the group. He is shown here in full color and his face seems to be splashed with blood. He is made with a 3-d effect where you can see him popping out of the coin if you look at the coin sideways.
