The 2022 1 oz Canadian Silver Maple Leaf Coin is stunning in .9999 fine silver but this coin takes this coin out of this world. This is the Glowing Galaxy version of the coin which has been ennobled to make the coin glow in the dark. The result is a coin that really grabs your attention and would make anyone pause to appreciate it.

Key features:

  • Made with 1 troy oz of .9999 pure silver BU grade
  • No longer legal tender due to the ennobling treatment
  • Obverse side has portrait of Queen Elizabeth engraved with  ‘Elizabeth II’ ‘5 dollars’ ‘2022’
  • Reverse side has a large maple leaf engraved with ‘Canada’ ‘9999’ ‘FINE SILVER’ ‘1 oz ARGENT PUR’
  • Micro-laser engraved features.
  • Limited edition of 500

On the obverse of the coin is Canadian artist Susanna Blunt’s Queen Elizabeth II. Traditionally, this coin has featured the queen at different times in her life and this one shows her at age 79. The queen is facing right in this portrait and she is wearing a simple dress, a pearl necklace, and pearl earrings. She looks as though she is entertaining guests or something more casual but yet has a stately, confident look about her. On her right shoulder is ‘SB’ for the artist’s initials. Above the portrait is ‘Elizabeth II’. Below the queen is ‘5 DOLLARS 2022’. This coin is no longer legal tender due to the coating treatment.

The coin’s reverse side has Walter Ott’s sugar maple design. This design is very realistic with a lot of detail. The sugar maple leaf is an emblem that is featured all over Canada. It has become an icon for Canada used on their flag, their military, and even their money. The sugar maple leaf is of historical significance. The aboriginal people used the trees as an important food source while the European settlers discovered it made a convenient way to produce sugar. ‘Canada’ is above the leaf and ‘9999’, a reference to the purity, is to the right and left of the leaf. Below the leaf is ‘FINE SILVER’ and ‘1 OZ ARGENT PUR’. Also below the leaf is a micro-lasered maple leaf that has a number ‘22’ that is only viewable under a microscope.

This coin is painted with a purple design that shows the stars and planets. When the lights are turned off, the stars and planets glow green.

With the 2022 1 oz Canadian Silver Maple Glowing Galaxy coin, you get a beautiful coin that has been upgraded with this coating to make it more of an art piece. This is the perfect gift for any coin collector or space enthusiast. Get yours today.
