Dalmatians are loved by owners all over the world but they are very special to Croatia. In 1994 the International Kennel Association acknowledged that Croatia is the point of origin for the Dalmatian breed. This wasn’t a surprise to Croatians as the very name Dalmatian comes from the Dalmatia region which is today known as Croatia.
On the obverse side is a unique design blending the map of the Croatia region and a close up of a Dalmatian. The result is a Dalmatian with islands for its spots. At the top of the coin is ‘REPUBLIKA’ and at the bottom is ‘HRVATSKA’. In the middle is ‘10 KUNA’ for the face-value of the coin.
The reverse of the coin has a picture of what looks like an adult Dalmatian standing and looking to the right. In front of the standing Dalmatian is another Dalmatian, smaller perhaps a pup, lying down. Above the Dalmatians is ‘DALMATINSKI PAS’. Below the dogs is ‘CANIS DALMATICUS’. To the right is ‘2021’.
Be sure to get your hands on this coin before they are all gone. With only 15000 worldwide, these 2021 Croatia 1 oz Silver Dalmatian Dog Coins are going to go fast.
