Key Features:

  • 1 oz .9999 fine silver BU Grade
  • Limited run of 15,000 pcs
  • Issued by the Central Bank of Malta
  • Minted by Germania Mint
  • 5 euro denomination

Crafted from .9999 pure silver, each coin depicts the knights in a full battle array on one side and the Coat of Arms of the Central Bank of Malta on the other side. This stunning design really pops in pure silver.

On the obverse you have a detailed depiction of the knights ready for battle with what looks like a footman in the foreground holding what might be a standard in one hand and a sword in the other. Behind the knight in the foreground we see knights on horseback holding lances. In the background is the famous Verdala Palace named after the 52nd Grandmaster of the Order of Malta. Engraved above the knights are the words “Knights of the Past” and to the right of the knights we see “5 euros”

The reverse side of the coin has the Coat of Arms of the Central Bank of Malta held by a Maltese Knight. The knight’s plate mail armor is so clear and sharp you can clearly see the studs. The Central Bank of Malta’’s Coat of Arms is so detailed you can clearly read the motto, “Fiducia Portis”, which translates to “trust carried” in English. At the top edge of the coin is “Malta” and written on the bottom left edge is “1 oz. 999.9 Ag”. The coin year of issue “2021” is engraved at the bottom edge.

The Germania Bank was created in 2018 by the Kurowski Group, a trusted group behind thousands of international numismatic projects. This group is fully responsible for creating every aspect of the mint including design and production of the coins, marketing, sales and packaging. This attention to every aspect of production means that you get a beautiful design, minted with quality metal and packaged to protect your coin.

Each coin comes with a certificate of authenticity and a unique blister pack designed to protect the coin from damage and the passage of time while complementing the story depicted in the coin design.
