2019 10 oz Silver Germania & Britannia

The Germania Mint does it again with this 2019 10 oz Silver Germania & Britannia round.  This is another round in their Allegories series that depicts personifications of countries around the world. These depictions are beautiful, strong, and sensual. This one is of Britannia and Germania. They look gorgeous in 10 troy ounces of .999 fine silver.

On the obverse side of the round is an image of Britannia and Germania depicted as beautiful women. Both women are standing with Britannia holding a trident in one hand and her other hand at her chin like she is thinking. Her shield is at her feet. Her head is turned back to Germania. Germania has one hand on Britannia’s back (perhaps to indicate that Germany literally has Britain’s back) and she is holding a shield at her feet in the other hand.  The whole scene has a feel of old friends hanging out. Above them is ‘ALLEGORIES, 10 OZ 999.9 FINE SILVER’.

The reverse side has the coat of arms of Germania or at least what the coat of arms might look like if Germania was a real country. Germania only exists as a historical land. The Germania Mint created a coat of arms based on the rules of heraldry and contains a two-headed eagle, a check pattern, a ribbon with three flowers, and a wild boar. At the top is ‘GERMANIA 2019’ and at the bottom is ‘50 MARK’.
