The obverse centers on Justitia, dressed in the everyday clothing of a 19th-century Utah settler — long skirt, apron, and period attire that grounds the allegorical figure in a specific historical moment. Her eyes are covered with a blindfold, a longstanding symbol of impartiality in judgment. The sword she raises represents decisive action; the scales she holds carry a cross, heart, and anchor on their pans — visual references to faith, hope, and charity as elements of just governance. Behind her, Utah’s iconic red sandstone cliffs fill the background, with Balancing Rock visible in the landscape. A seagull — Utah’s state bird — appears in flight near the upper portion of the composition. The word “JUSTITIA” and the phrase “Judge Righteously” appear near the figure’s feet. The entire scene glows with the warm golden cast characteristic of all Aurum notes, the fine-engraving style giving the design an almost currency-plate quality despite its compact format.

The reverse shows the obverse design mirrored through the translucent gold layer, a structural feature of the Aurum construction process rather than a separate design choice. The 2022 year mark and Goldback.com appear on the face alongside the series GB logo.
