The ½ American Gold Eagle Coin was introduced in 1986 and quickly became a favorite among collectors all over the world. Everyone wants to get their hands on the official gold bullion coin of the United States. The coin offered here may be of any random year depending on stock on hand. All are in BU (Brilliant Uncirculated) condition.

  • Made with 1/2 Troy oz of Fine Gold
  • Face value is $25 (USD) and is fully backed by the US government.
  • Official Gold Bullion Coin of the United States
  • Obverse side has a Liberty design
  • Reverse side of the coin has a nesting family of eagles
  • Reeded edge as an anti-counterfeiting measure

On the obverse side of the ½ oz American Gold Eagle coin, we see Liberty as designed by Augustus Saint-Gaudens in 1907. This design first appeared in 1907 on the $20 Gold Eagle and ran until 1933. This version of Liberty shows her facing the viewer and looks to be walking toward them. She is carrying a torch in her right hand and has an olive branch in the other. At her feet, we see Washington D.C. while the sun is coming up behind her. Surrounding Liberty is 50 stars. Above her head is ‘LIBERTY’. At the bottom of the coin is the year of issue.

The reverse side of the coin has a Miley Busiek’s design featuring what looks like eagles building a nest. One adult eagle is bringing a branch while the other one is sitting in the nest. The image is very detailed and we can see the feathers of the bird very clearly.  Above the eagles’ heads is ‘UNITED STATES OF AMERICA’. To the left of the image is  ‘E PLURIBUS UNUM’ which means “From many, one.” To the right of the image is ‘IN GOD WE TRUST’. At the bottom of the coin are ‘1/2 oz FINE GOLD’ and ‘25 DOLLARS’

This ½ oz American Gold Eagle Coin with random dates is a great way to get some gold into your portfolio at a more attractive price. This is a great design that is very popular made with quality metal by a trusted mint. Don’t miss this opportunity to own a Gold Eagle Coin.
