The Design
Vermont sits at the top of the obverse in white script, a single pine tree silhouette to its left, over a solid green field with no landscape or color scene. STACKING fills the center in bold white block letters, and Green Mountain State runs underneath it in white script, above a corner tab reading 2027, styled like the plate’s registration sticker. One color, no scene, the plate’s own green standing in for a full illustration. The reverse drops the color entirely: an engraved American flag with a dashed road line running through the stripes, and STACKIN’ ACROSS AMERICA across the lower half.
An Avoirdupois Ounce, Not a Troy Ounce
The reverse marks the weight as 1oz AVDP. That’s the avoirdupois ounce, the one a kitchen scale reads in, not the troy ounce that silver and gold bullion is weighed in.
