The long term effects of Covid-19 have led to some dramatic changes to the US economy. The leadership of the government seems to  be at a loss on how to get it back on track between making moves that only have made it worse or no action at all. As a result inflation is definitely here and continuing to grow. A recession is either here or imminent depending on your definition of a recession. 

 

The obverse side of this round has a three headed dragon. This is a very detailed design with each head bearing a strong resemblance to a sitting president, the speaker of the house and a masked figure who speaks for the CDC. Each head is certainly capable of doing some damage. Let’s hope this multi headed dragon doesn’t have the abilities of the famous hydra where when one head is removed two more grow back. 

 

On the reverse side is the text ‘INFLATION IS COMING’ a nod at the famous warning in the book and TV show Game of Thrones, ‘Winter is coming’.This text is even written in the text used by the show Game of Thrones.  Both warnings are ominous and inflation does indeed bring the ‘winter’ of a healthy economy. Around these words are ‘PAYING DEBTS WITH THE PRINTING PRESS’ referring to the controversial practice of just printing more money to deal with the US debts which has been a practice in the past that weakens the US dollar. At the bottom of the round is ‘ONE AV OUNCE 999 FINE COPPER 2021’.
