The obverse of this coin depicts Lady Liberty, perhaps the most patriotic symbol of America. Here she is seen in her usual pose with her torch upraised but this is a more closeup view of her. Surrounding her are thirteen stars representing the thirteen original colonies. 

 

The reverse side is a mashup of several patriotic symbols. There is a shield with ‘USA’ written on it. Attached to the shield are two outstretched eagle wings. Behind that is what looks like a laurel wreath. The laurel wreath has been a symbol of peace on many other coins in history. At the top of the coin behind the shield is an American flag unfurling. There are three stars on the left side and three stars to the right. At the top of the coin it says ‘COPPER .999 FINE’. At the bottom is ‘ONE AVDP OUNCE’.
