Morgan Silver Dollar Coin – 1878-1904 G+

The Morgan Silver Dollar was produced from 1878-1904 and then for a one year period in 1921. During this short time,it cemented itself in the minds of collectors as a must-have coin. It was once feared that the Morgan design was lost forever. The only remaining ones were in very rough shape. Above her head is ‘E PLURIBUS UNUM. Below her is the date.

The reverse side has an American bald eagle clutching arrows in its left talon and an olive branch in its right. Around the top edge of the coin is ‘UNITED STATES OF AMERICA. Right underneath this text is ‘IN GOD WE TRUST’. Under the eagle is ‘ONE DOLLAR’.
