The Morgan Dollar is the coin that built American numismatics, struck from silver pulled out of the Comstock Lode and carried through the saloons, banks, and railroads of the frontier era. This listing delivers one Morgan dated between 1878 and 1904 in Brilliant Uncirculated condition, a coin that never entered circulation despite being more than a century old. Each contains 0.7734 troy oz of actual silver in the classic 90% silver composition.
Key Features:
- Purity and Weight: 90% silver, 10% copper, 26.73 grams, 0.7734 troy oz ASW
- Metal Type: Silver
- Obverse Design: George T. Morgan’s Liberty Head with E PLURIBUS UNUM, 13 stars, and the date
- Reverse Design: Eagle with spread wings holding arrows and olive branch inside a laurel wreath
The obverse presents Liberty in left-facing profile, her coronet inscribed LIBERTY and her cap dressed with wheat and cotton, uniting the crops of North and South barely a decade after the Civil War. Morgan famously modeled the portrait on schoolteacher Anna Willess Williams rather than the idealized Greek features of earlier coinage. E PLURIBUS UNUM spans the top rim with 13 stars and the date framing the portrait below.
The reverse carries Morgan’s eagle with wings raised high, an olive branch and three arrows in its talons, above a bow-tied laurel wreath. IN GOD WE TRUST appears in distinctive Gothic lettering beneath UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, with ONE DOLLAR at the base. Dates and mint marks vary by available stock and may include Philadelphia, New Orleans, or San Francisco issues.
Each coin measures 38.1 mm, the hefty cartwheel size that made Morgans famous, and BU examples show full original luster with sharp strike detail. Millions of Morgans were melted under the 1918 Pittman Act, so surviving uncirculated pieces represent a fraction of original mintages.
Genuine 19th-century silver in mint-fresh condition remains one of the strongest crossover buys for stackers and collectors alike. Order your BU Morgan Silver Dollar today and own the coin of the American West.

Pricing was great and the shipping happened in a very timely fashion after the payment cleared. 2-3 days for payment clearance, shipped package went out approx 2-3 days afterwards. I bought 10 BU random year/mint coins and received 1 of 1881 S; 2 of 1885 O; 2 of 1886 Philly; 2 of 1887 Philly; 1 of 1888 O; 2 of 1901 O
All common, but a decent mix and in good quality. One appears a bit dirty on the reverse and some have bag mark level scratching, but overall pretty happy to have some very attractive type Morgans. Thanks Hero!

Received an 1883-o and 1885-o BU Morgans. Really happy with my purchase, as always with Hero bullion. Great prices and always exactly as advertised. Thank you HB!

Ordered 2. The best one of the 2, paid $55 and received an 1899 P ms 63+ original mint state, luster no cleaning and not dipped, even ungraded easily a $300+ coin. Amazing.
Sadly while the 1885 O looked beautiful and MS details the fields were heavily cleaned with a wire brush at some point. Scoped the coin and this is even more evident. Still a beautiful coin and I’ll keep it but not something to make a profit on.
Overall 5 stars. If anyone buys these it’s worth it, and if you’re not knowledgeable on coins please make sure to were cloth or nitrile gloves and properly store it for numismatic history

The Morgans I ordered appeared to have never even been in a bank bag. I mean all but flawless and on one I really can’t find any flaw, NOTHING. It’s like someone working at the Philadelphia mint grabbed one right after the die struck and pocketed it only to have it for sale 138 years later to a schmuck like me!!
Great price when compared to other sellers and always great communications. Packaging……..well prepare to spend some time unraveling the superb padding Hero uses for everything and most especially for the Morgans I received. Superb coin, unreal condition and incredible seller in Hero Bullion!

I purchased two of these. I’m super happy with both coins I received. One is very shiny with very minute wear and the other has almost no wear to be seen and some glorious tones of blue, gold and brown in a halo around liberty’s hair. Must have in any collection.

This coin was my first real silver dollar, just recieved it and no silver coin or round has put a smile on my face like this one. It’s like holding history. The word liberty is hidden in her hair. It’s from arguably the greatest era in American history. The condition is good enough to see and appreciate all the details, not worn from 100+ years of circulation.
