The Design
KANSAS runs across the top of the obverse in bold navy caps, with a blank sticker box on one side and a corner tab reading 2027 on the other, styled like the plate’s registration sticker. STACKING fills the center in large bold navy letters, over a dome silhouette topped by a bowman aiming skyward, and to the stars runs in navy script underneath. Bow drawn toward the stars, the figure that stands on the real Statehouse dome in Topeka. A blue-to-orange dusk sky fills the background behind it. The reverse is the same across the whole series: engraved copper, an American flag with a dashed road line running through the stripes, and STACKIN’ ACROSS AMERICA across the lower half.
An Avoirdupois Ounce, Not a Troy Ounce
The reverse marks the weight as 1oz AVDP. That’s the avoirdupois ounce, the one a kitchen scale reads in, not the troy ounce that silver and gold bullion is weighed in.
