If you are looking for a quantity of quality silver then it is hard to do better than a company with over 150 years experience. That is what you get with a Johnson Matthey 10 oz Silver Bar-the result of an experienced producer of precious metal products. The only thing, perhaps more attractive than a quality product is one that is collectible. This bar has become collectible because Johnson Matthey is no longer producing these bars. Once they are all sold there won’t be any more available.

Key features:

  • Made of 10 troy oz of .999 pure silver.
  • Obverse has the Johnson Matthey logo, purity and weight, and individual serial number
  • Reverse has  the logo in a repeating pattern.
  • Silver content guaranteed by Johnson Matthey.
  • Bar is from the secondary market, so flaws may be possible.

The bars in this listing come from the secondary market. As such, they may not ship in their sealed original packaging. They may also have differing levels of toning and light contact marks.

The obverse side of the bar has the Johnson Matthey logo, JM with a hammer and pickaxe. Below that is engraved JOHN MATTHEY ASSAYERS AND REFINERS, FINE SILVER 999, and 10 TROY OUNCES. At the bottom is an individual serial number.

On the reverse side of the bar is the Johnson Matthey logo repeated over and over at a 45 degree angle.

Percival Norton Johnson started the business in 1817 in London, England. Under Johnson’s tutelage they started out as a gold assayers shop. It grew into the company Johnson Matthey with the addition of George Matthey in 1851. They earned the status of an Official Assayer & Refiner to the Bank of England only one year later. Today, Johnson Matthey, the purveyor of precious metals is no more as they sold the business to Japan’s Asahi Ltd. This means whatever remains of Johnson Matthey bars is all there will be.

Now is your chance to get your hands on some of these Johnson Matthey 10 oz Silver Bars before they are gone. They are sure to be collectible for their scarcity and their silver content. Act now.
