Diamonds Are Forever became a blockbuster in the James Bond series of films. This is the 7th film in the super popular James Bond Series. The last film didn’t do as well as a lot of the James Bond films which is maybe why actor George Lazemby decided not to return the franchise despite the fact that he had signed on to do seven more films. After a lot of searching it was decided to bring back Sean Connery at any cost. Connery had appeared in six of the last seven James Bond films and was a fan favorite. Sean Connery agreed to a 1.25 million dollar deal to star in the movie.

It has been over 50 years since Diamonds Are Forever hit the big screen and the Royal Mint is celebrating with this themed 10 oz Silver Bar.

On the obverse of the bar is the Royal Mint’s logo and the official 007 logo. 007 is James Bond’s designation as an agent of MI6 and has a license to kill if necessary as approved by the Queen herself. At the bottom of this side is ‘10 oz 999.9 FINE SILVER’. The background of this side has a diamond pattern.

The reverse of the bar has ‘DIAMONDS ARE FOREVER’ with the word ‘FOREVER repeated and fading off into the distance. There are several images of diamonds in the background.
