A Bald Eagle Filling the Face

The GSM Bald Eagle 1 oz Silver Round puts the head of a bald eagle across most of one side, with a second eagle in flight sweeping behind it and a rippling flag on the other. Every round holds one troy ounce of .999 fine silver, made by Golden State Mint.

Front and Back

The obverse shows the eagle’s head in right-facing profile, its feathers cut across the crown and neck and the beak hooked. An eagle in flight sweeps behind it with its wings spread and its talons reaching down. STRENGTH · FREEDOM · PRIDE runs around the upper rim, separated by small stars, and IN GOD WE TRUST sits in two lines beneath the beak. The reverse is an American flag rippling across the whole face, with the stripes in a fine hatch pattern and the stars raised smooth. ONE TROY OUNCE · .999 FINE SILVER arcs across the top and GOLDEN STATE MINT runs along the bottom. One eagle, one flag, and no other design on the round.

A Family-Run Mint in Florida

Despite the name, Golden State Mint is located in Central Florida. It calls itself a family-run operation that started in 1974 and has been in the precious metals business for over 45 years, and it strikes silver, gold and copper. Family-run since 1974, and the round is made in-house.
