The Design
Peach State sits in white script at the top left of the obverse, GEORGIA in bold black caps at the top right, a flowering peach branch stretching between them, blossoms and leaves reaching across the plate. STACKING fills the center in large bold black letters, over green farmland rows running back to a line of distant mountains. A flowering peach branch, the state’s own nickname worked into the art rather than just printed. Three peaches sit at the lower left and one more at the lower right, next to a corner tab reading 2027, styled like the plate’s registration sticker. The reverse is the same across the whole series: engraved copper, an American flag with a dashed road line running through the stripes, and STACKIN’ ACROSS AMERICA across the lower half.
An Avoirdupois Ounce, Not a Troy Ounce
The reverse marks the weight as 1oz AVDP. That’s the avoirdupois ounce, the one a kitchen scale reads in, not the troy ounce that silver and gold bullion is weighed in.
