The Engelhard Prospector 1 oz Silver Round hits the trifecta when you are looking to add some silver to your collection. The Engelhard brand is widely respected as a manufacturer of precious metals and they are known for using high-quality silver. This silver is .999 fine silver. The Prospector Series of Rounds are super popular and even twenty years later, collectors love to buy them.

Key features:

  • Made of 1 oz .999 fine silver
  • Design is any one of the Prospector series designs
  • Reverse side has one of the prospector designs
  • Obverse side has an eagle landing and the weight and purity
  • Year of coin received varies and depends on stock on hand

The Prospector Series by Engelhard honors the prospectors that were prevalent during the California Gold Rush. Each year of the round has a different design on the reverse side. Below the image is ‘THE AMERICAN PROSPECTOR’.

The obverse side of the round has an eagle landing with a flag in one of its talons and laurel branches in the other talons. Above the eagle is ‘Engelhard’. Below the eagle is ‘ONE TROY OUNCE 999+ FINE SILVER’.

Buying silver is a great way to diversify your portfolio and hedge against inflation. It can also be a great way to prepare for a disaster where precious metals may become the preferred currency. Many investors enjoy the lower entry price versus gold. The fact that silver is used in manufacturing means that it has value in the world of the industry as well as investing which is always a good thing. Investors buy silver in coins with high silver content like the ‘junk coins’ which contain 90%, bullion coins or bars.

The Engelhard Prospector 1 oz Silver Round would look great in any collection. The classic design and the quality silver make this a great buy. Get yours today.

Relatively new to stacking and every but often I’d here bout “Engelhard” brand silver bars, and there always seemed to be extra
excitement surrounding any bullion with the Engelhard name attached, however I had no idea what was such a big deal with this brand, so naturally I did a lil’ reading…and wow, such fascinating American history behind the Engelhard name, and Engelhard (Jr. I think)was the real-life inspiration for the fictional 007 Goldfinger character….So cool…Soooo…now I get it, and of course with Hero having some of this vintage silver at a very reasonable prices, naturally i had to snag a few rounds and one nice n’ husky 10oz Engelhard Ag Bar…as a rule of thumb i only stack government issued bullion (mostly American & Canadian) but after learning about the American legend whose name once was synonymous with world renowned, exceptional quality bullion products..im very happy to make an exception to my rule and to own a few pieces of really cool history without breaking the bank..
