The Don’t Tread On Me 1 Pound Copper Bar is a great way to add a lot of copper to your collection or portfolio. Rather than have some boring looking bar, these bars offer a patriotic design that reflects the rebellious spirit that created this country. These would make a great gift for the history buff or the rebel in your family or office.
Key Features:
- 1 AVDP Pound of .999 Fine Copper
- Don’t Tread on Me design laser etched into the bars
The obverse side of these bars has the Don’t Tread On Me design that first appeared on flags in 1775. The image is of a timber rattlesnake coiled up and ready to strike. The words ‘DON’T TREAD ON ME’ are written below the image. These bars are cast so they have a kind of matte finish to them.
The reverse of the bar is intentionally blank. The only designs that are seen on this side or from the molds.
The Don’t Tread on Me first appeared on a flag designed by politician Christopher Gadsden in 1775 during the American Revolution. He got the idea for using a rattlesnake from Benjamin Franklin when earlier in 1775 he published an essay where he suggested the rattlesnake would make a good symbol for the American spirit. Gadsden’s design is a timber rattlesnake against a yellow background and the words ‘DONT TREAD ON ME’. Later versions of the flag added an apostrophe in ‘don’t’. Some conservative groups have adopted the flag as their symbol as they think it speaks of smaller government or against government overreach.
If you want a large quantity of copper or want to give someone a large quantity of copper with some flair, the Don’t Tread on Me 1 Pound Copper Bar is a great opportunity to do that. These would look great on display and not just relegated to storage like those boring bars. Show them off to friends and family or better yet give them their own bar. Get yours today.
