The Bushido Samurai Mask is a 1/1000 troy ounce shaped gold piece struck in .9999 fine gold, cast in the silhouette of a traditional samurai kabuto helmet. The obverse carries a full-color menpō war mask with a red lacquered face, gold floral armor detail, and a set emerald-cut green gem at the crown. The reverse is engraved with the word SAMURAI, the kanji characters 侍武士, and the piece’s weight, purity, and year.

It ships in an illustrated Certificate Card. The card itself is your certificate of authenticity, printed with the year, metal, fineness, weight, and mintage, so there is no separate document to keep track of. Limited to 6,999 pieces.

A Shaped Gold Tribute to Feudal Japan

The Bushido Samurai Mask brings sculptural detail to a fractional gold format. Struck in .9999 fine gold and cut to the silhouette of a samurai kabuto helmet, it combines the accessibility of a 1/1000 oz piece with the kind of full-color, high-relief artwork usually reserved for far larger releases. It is limited to 6,999 pieces worldwide.

 

Design Details

The obverse depicts a complete menpō, the lacquered war mask worn beneath a samurai helmet, rendered in vivid color with a bared-teeth oni-style expression meant to intimidate on the battlefield. Gold filigree and floral patterning cover the surrounding armor plates, and a set emerald-cut green gem sits at the crown. Gold tassels frame either side, and the kanji characters 侍武士 appear alongside the title SAMURAI in bold gold lettering.

The reverse carries the shaped gold piece itself, following the same helmet profile with extended shoulder guards. It is engraved with SAMURAI, the kanji characters 侍武士, and the specifications 1/1000 .9999 GOLD 2026 in a warm satin gold finish.

This piece is packaged in a richly illustrated Certificate Card, decorated with traditional Japanese textile-style patterning in deep red and gold.
