Silver and civil liberties share an audience, and the 2nd Amendment round from Golden State Mint speaks directly to it. Each round contains 1 troy oz of .999 fine silver and pairs a minuteman design with the full text of the Second Amendment, making it one of the most popular constitutionally themed rounds on the market for stackers, gun owners, and gift buyers alike.

Key Features:

  • Purity and Weight: .999 fine silver, 1 troy oz
  • Metal Type: Silver
  • Obverse Design: Colonial minuteman with musket before an American flag, encircled by CONSTITUTIONAL RIGHT TO BEAR ARMS
  • Reverse Design: Complete Second Amendment text with a Thomas Jefferson quotation around the rim

The obverse depicts a colonial-era minuteman standing watch on a rocky outcrop, musket held ready across his body, sleeves rolled and eyes fixed on the horizon. Behind him an early American flag ripples across the field, its stars scattered around his silhouette and its stripes flowing to the rim. The legend CONSTITUTIONAL RIGHT TO BEAR ARMS frames the scene in bold letters. The figure recalls the citizen-soldiers of Lexington and Concord, the militiamen whose readiness the amendment’s framers had in mind.

The reverse puts the words themselves in metal. Under the heading Second Amendment appears the complete ratified text: “A well regulated militia being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed.” A row of five stars separates the passage from the weight and purity statement, 1 TROY OUNCE .999 SILVER, with the GOLDEN STATE MINT credit below. Circling the entire rim is Jefferson’s line, “No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms,” attributed to THOMAS JEFFERSON at the base.

Golden State Mint has struck silver in the United States for decades, and its rounds trade at low premiums over spot, letting the design ride along at nearly pure metal value.

An ounce of silver that states its convictions makes a strong addition to a stack and a better conversation piece. Order the 2nd Amendment 1 oz silver round today.

I have to keep replacing this one. I’ve got many “firearm friendly” friends and everytime I show them this I end up giving them away! And that’s ok. Hero has more! And shipping is FAST! The only on line dealer that I use! Hero ROCKS!!

The images do not do this round justice. Will eventually fill a tube.
