The Canadian Gold Maple Leaf coin is one of the most iconic investments in the world of gold bullion. Minted in stunning 99.99% fine gold and featuring a set of intricate designs, there’s a reason this series remains a must-have for stackers everywhere. The 2025 1 oz Canadian Gold Maple is the newest release in the collection, which is the second oldest gold bullion coin in the world (after the South African Gold Krugerrand).

King Charles III made his debut on the obverse of the 2024 Gold Maple, and the 2025 release features another gorgeous depiction of Great Britain’s newest monarch. On the reverse, the classic depiction of the Canadian maple is as stunningly detailed as ever. A uniquely micro-engraved maple leaf privy mark adds both security and value to the newest Gold Maple to hit global markets.

Key Features:

  • Contains 1 Troy oz of .9999 pure gold.
  • Brilliant Uncirculated (BU) condition.
  • Face value of $50 CAD, fully backed by the Canadian government.
  • Second edition to feature King Charles III on the obverse.
  • Reverse showcases the iconic sugar maple leaf design.
  • Includes a micro-laser engraved maple leaf privy for added security.
  • Eligible for Precious Metals IRAs.

The Canadian Gold Maple Leaf series was first introduced in 1979 and has since become the flagship coin of the historic Royal Canadian Mint. Initially featuring Queen Elizabeth II, the coin transitioned to celebrate Britain’s newest monarch starting in 2024. On the 2025 Gold Maple Leaf Coin, you’ll find an exceptionally detailed portrait of King Charles III, who ascended to the throne in September of 2022. Like the 2024 coin, our 2025 Gold Maple represents a historic change in Canadian coinage and will likely be a prized collectible for years to come.

On the obverse, the 2025 coin features a left-profile portrait of King Charles III. Designed in accordance with Canadian tradition, this portrait shift signifies the reign of a new monarch. The obverse design reflects the same elegance and attention to detail that collectors have come to expect from the Royal Canadian Mint. Charles appears here in a standard suit and tie, gazing off onto the lefthand side of the coin.

The reverse side artwork is where this classic coin gets its name. Check out the Canadian maple leaf, the instantly recognizable national symbol of Canada. The leaf, which belongs to trees which gave the very first colonists in Canada the sustenance they needed to survive, has appeared on every Canadian Gold Maple Leaf since the series premiered in 1979. Former Chief Engraver Walter Ott’s timeless design has helped to make the Canadian Gold Maple one of the world’s most popular and beloved gold bullion coins.

Micro-radial lines and a laser-engraved maple leaf privy mark on the 2025 Gold Maple Leaf Coin add a new layer of security and fine craftsmanship to the classic coin series. The Royal Canadian Mint is well known for its commitment to quality and detail, but the institution outdid themselves with this latest release.

The 2025 1 oz Canadian Gold Maple Leaf Coin uniquely continues the undeniable legacy of Canada’s national gold bullion coin series, bringing the Gold Maple into 2025 with a slew of design and mintage innovations. You won’t want to miss this coin!
